Restore a flatter, firmer, more masculine chest contour, with the surgical approach tailored to the grade of gynecomastia.
Procedure Overview
Gynecomastia is the development of larger-than-normal breasts in men. It can result from genetic factors or from excessive hormonal (estrogen) exposure. Male breast reduction restores a flatter, firmer, and more masculine chest contour.
At Truffel Healthcare, the surgical approach is matched to the grade of gynecomastia. For Grade I and II, Dr. Matwa performs regional liposuction together with glandulectomy (removal of the breast gland). For more advanced Grade III and IV, regional liposuction and glandulectomy are combined with breast reduction to remove excess skin.
Dr. Matwa assesses the grade and underlying cause during consultation and recommends the approach that delivers the most natural, masculine result.
Indicative Cost
From Ksh 300,000 to Ksh 650,000, depending on the grade and extent of surgery.
Why Patients Choose This Procedure
Removes excess fat and gland tissue for a flatter, more masculine chest contour.
The technique is matched to your grade of gynecomastia, from liposuction with gland removal to full skin reduction.
Glandulectomy removes the firm breast tissue that liposuction alone cannot, helping prevent the bulge returning.
Incisions are kept small and well-placed; skin is only excised in higher grades where it is necessary.
Many men feel comfortable removing their shirt and wearing fitted clothing again.
With a stable weight and hormones, the removed gland and fat do not return.
How It Works
Dr. Matwa examines the chest, determines the grade of gynecomastia, and identifies whether the cause is glandular, fatty, or both.
Surgery is performed in a sterile theatre under general or regional anaesthesia, depending on the extent.
Regional liposuction removes excess fat and the breast gland is excised. In higher grades, excess skin is also removed.
Incisions are closed and a compression vest is fitted to support the chest, reduce swelling, and refine the contour.
